The course is based on the methodological guidelines of the Sixth Edition of the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM6) of the IMF. The course consists of a series of presentations of the coordinators, as well as the performance of practical exercises.

Objective

Present and comment on the methodological and analytical aspects of BPM6, and promote an exchange of ideas and practical experiences on the measurement of the balance of payments statistics and the international investment position.

Aimed at

Officials of the central banks of Latin America and the Caribbean and of other institutions that participate in the compilation and analysis of the international accounts, in particular, those of the balance of payments and the international investment position.
