The Program of General Principles for International Remittance Services of CEMLA, was recognized by IFAD in the category of Public Sector Project 

On June 18, 2015, the fifth Global Forum on Remittances and Development (GFRD) was held in Milan, Italy, organized by the United Nations International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), where awarded a bank, an NGO, a CEO and a private company for their efforts to help remittance recipients leverage the funds they receive for greater social and development impact.

IFAD's Financing Facility for Remittances chose this year's award recipients based on their efforts to promote cost-effective and inclusive remittances transfer systems as well as migrant and diaspora investments and entrepreneurship in their home countries.

The Center for Latin American Monetary Studies (CEMLA), was recognized in the category of Public Sector Project for the "Program of General Principles for International Remittance Services" as a unique initiative to the central banks of Latin America and the Caribbean, under the auspices of Fomin (IDB Group).
