The seminar's agenda will include presentations by specialists from central banks, international organizations and the remittance industry, covering aspects such as identifying the current situation in the countries of the region regarding the measurement of remittances, both inflows and outflows; monitoring the recent evolution of remittances and their explanatory factors; the behavior of migratory flows originating in Latin American and Caribbean countries and their employment levels and wage bill in destination countries; the evaluation of the impact of remittances on recipient economies and policies to increase it and promote the financial inclusion of remittance customers; gender of senders and recipients; and technological changes in the sending and receiving of remittances, among other topics.
Objetive
Promote an exchange of ideas and experiences among participants on different aspects of remittances, migration and the financial inclusion of remittance senders and recipients.
Aimed at
Officials from central banks, bank superintendencies and financial sector supervisory entities involved in the measurement, analysis or regulation of remittances, as well as officials from the remittance industry.
