Content

The Course will include a series of presentations, workshops and group discussions, in which the use of MFS is promoted as a tool in the analysis of risk and vulnerability of the sectors that are users of services provided by financial corporations. The exchange of the experiences faced by the participants in the processes of instrumentation and analytical use of the MFS in their countries will also be promoted.

Objective

Present and comment on the main methodological and conceptual aspects of monetary and financial statistics (MFS), highlighting their analytical usefulness. The coherence of the MFS within the framework of the macroeconomic statistics system and the characteristic of regional harmonization that facilitates the comparison of the main analytical aggregates among the participating countries will also be emphasized.

Aimed at

Officials from intermediate to senior level of the central banks of Latin America and the Caribbean who participate in the preparation and analysis of monetary and financial statistics, and with knowledge of the methodological guidelines recommended in Monetary and Financial Statistics Manual and Compilation Guide.
