CEMLA Conference 2026 - XXXI Meeting of the Central Banking Research Network

The CEMLA conference, previously known as the Central Banks Researchers Network, serves as a flagship event organized by CEMLA. It offers a forum for presenting, sharing, and exchanging applied research produced by CEMLA member central banks and collaborating institutions. Paper submissions are invited through a call for papers and are evaluated by a scientific committee comprising distinguished policymakers and researchers. After a competitive selection process, approximately 27 to 36 papers are selected for presentation in parallel sessions during the two-day conference.

Additionally, two keynote speeches are delivered by prominent policymakers and scholars, contributing to discussions on monetary policy, financial stability, and market infrastructures.

The conference has consistently featured internationally renowned academics as keynote speakers, including Pablo Guerrón (Boston College), Enrique Mendoza, (University of Pennsylvania), Michele Boldrin (Washington University in St. Louis), Saki Bigio (University of California), David Andolfatto (University of Miami Patti and Allan Herbert Business School), Pablo Kurlat (University of Southern California), Mário Centeno, Former Governor, (Banco de Portugal 2020-25), James B. Bullard (Purdue University), Boris Vujčić, Governor, (Croatian National Bank, Central Bank of Croatia, Eurosystem), and Felipe Larraín (Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile).
