Content
The course will cover the general landscape of financial market infrastructures (FMIs) in Latin America and the Caribbean, cross-border payments and their impact on FMIs, operational and cyber risks in payment and settlement systems, the regulatory framework and supervision of FMIs with its principles and best practices, as well as innovation and emerging technologies in payment systems. Additionally, case studies and central bank experiences in FMI oversight will be analyzed.
Objective
The primary objective of this course is to strengthen participants' knowledge of the design, operation, regulation, and supervision of financial market infrastructures through the analysis of practical cases and discussion of recent trends in the region.
