Content

Introduction to the Python programming language and its ecosystem for data analysis. The course covers basic language structures, data handling with NumPy and Pandas, visualization with Matplotlib and Seaborn, and introductory applications in economic and financial contexts.

Objective

To provide the fundamental programming skills in Python required for data analysis, laying the groundwork for more advanced courses such as Machine Learning, computational econometrics, and financial mathematics.

Aimed at

Technical staff and professionals from CEMLA member institutions who need to develop or strengthen basic programming skills applied to economic and financial analysis.
