Content

The seminar will be made up of presentations by experts from Latin America and the Caribbean, covering aspects such as the recent evolution of remittances and their explanatory factors; the behavior of migratory flows originating from the countries of said region and their employment levels in the destination countries; evaluation of the impact of remittances on receiving economies; and the implementation of policies to increase the positive impact of remittances.

Objective

Foster a dialogue among participants from various Latin American and Caribbean nations on the influence of remittances and migration on economic development in the region.

Aimed at

Central bank officials in charge of compiling economic statistics, especially external accounts and economic analysis.
