CEMLA held the Committee of Alternates meeting at its headquarters in Mexico City, with the participation of representatives from associated and collaborating central banks.

Among the topics discussed were the revision of the Strategic Plan 2025-2029, the redefinition of the Operational Architecture, the results of the Survey to Identify Needs for Events and Technical Assistances 2025 (ENDEVAT-2025), the Preliminary Program of Activities 2026, as well as the financial statements of the Center and the Retirement Plan.

The session also included the review of the CEMLA 2025 Central Bank Award and the presentation of the proposal by the Banco Central do Brasil for the creation of a Forum of Central Bank Secretariats.

The meeting reaffirmed the role of CEMLA as a platform for regional cooperation, aimed at strengthening the technical and governance capacities of central banks in Latin America and the Caribbean.
