The seminar will cover the BPM7 chapters, which are now available on the IMF's website: https://www.imf.org/en/Data/Statistics/BPM/BPM7-chapters. BPM7 is expected to be published in 2025 and the work on the new BPM is closely coordinated with the update of the System of National Accounts to ensure maximum consistency between international statistical standards.

Objetive

Inform participants about the main changes in the forthcoming publication of the seventh edition of the Balance of Payments and International Investment Position Manual (BPM7).

Aimed at

Compilers of mid- to high-level external sector statistics compilers from central banks and statistical offices of Latin American and Caribbean countries, as well as the regional international organizations.

Coordinator
