Research seminar - Incomplete Supervisory Cooperation

The research seminar was organized by CEMLA and was in a hybrid format in the city of Mexico City, Mexico on November 28th, 2023. The total attendees were 38 representatives from 14 institutions and associates of CEMLA, representing 11 Latin-American and Caribbean countries and 3 European countries.
The research seminar has held by Wolf Wagner from Rotterdam School of Management and CEPR, where he presented his academic paper titled “Incomplete supervisory cooperation” were using hand-collected supervisory cooperation data, the authors document that banking groups shift lending activities and risk into third-country subsidiaries when cooperation agreements cover their operations in other countries.
