The Workshop on DSGE Modeling and Climate Risk for Central Banks was held at CEMLA’s facilities in Mexico City on March 27-31, 2023, and was attended by 20 representatives from 8 institutions from the Membership and associates of CEMLA. The workshop was jointly organized by CEMLA and the Finance Initiative of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP FI). It was taught by Prof. Dimitrios P. Tsomocos, from Saïd Business School at Oxford University, and focused on DSGE models that can be used to incorporate climate shocks, regulatory innovations, and other related emerging risks.

Dr. Dimitrios P. Tsomocos

Dr Dimitrios P. Tsomocos is a University Professor of Financial Economics at Saïd Business School and a Fellow in Management at St Edmund Hall, University of Oxford. He has worked at the Bank of England and as economic advisor of diverse institutions, including different central banks. Moreover, he has also been a member of several editorial boards, such as the Annals of Finance and Economic Theory. His research includes banking and regulation, incomplete asset markets, systemic risk, financial instability and issues of new financial architecture. He holds a BA, MA, MPhil, and PhD in Economics from Yale University.
