XIII Meeting of Heads of Financial Stability

The meeting was held in hybrid format in Mexico City, Mexico, on July 11-12, 2023. It was attended by a total of 72 representatives from 27 institutions and associates of CEMLA, representing 24 Latin-American and Caribbean countries, Canada, 2 European countries, and 1 Asian country.

The meeting was focused on the following topics:deposit markets and financial stability, domestic inflation dynamics and financial policies in advanced and emerging economies, cross-border implications of the new global economic environment in advanced and emerging economies,the global financial cycle and uncertainty in domestic asset markets. The agenda included a keynote session by Prof. Elena Loutskina, Professor of Business Administration at Darden School of Business, University of Virginia. The meeting ended with an open roundtable discussion with brief speeches from in-person participants on the topic of emerging challenges for financial stability facing central banks.
