CI Meeting of Central Bank Governors of the CEMLA

On May 10 and 11 the CI Meeting of Central Bank Governors of CEMLA was held in Lisbon, Portugal under the auspices of Banco de Portugal. The Meeting was inaugurated by Governor Carlos Da Silva Costa, Banco de Portugal. Then, it began with presentations on the program’s sessions: International economic and financial outlook; The reversal of monetary policy in the US: impact in Latin America and Caribbean; Financial Regulation: State of Art and Trends; Keynote address on European Monetary Policy; The uprising of the non-bank financial sector in the aftermath of the financial crisis: how to regulate and supervise to ensure local and global financial stability; and Topics under discussion at G20. Sessions were delivered by different governors and high-level officials from represented institutions and were benefited with an active discussion among participants. In addition, within the framework of the event, CEMLA´s Board of Governors and Assembly Meetings were held, as well as the presentation of the Central Banking Award “Rodrigo Gómez” – 2015.
