Content

The Seminar will make emphasis on the different surveys for national accounts, such as those collected at establishments (observation units, periodicity and statistical standards), as well as special surveys (maquila export; employment).

Objective

Promote an exchange of ideas and experiences on the use of surveys for national accounts, both at establishments or households; and on the importance of having adequate directories of economic units to be used as a framework for sample selection. Also, on the role of administrative records and catalogues of companies as a source of data used for national accounts, including tax records.

Aimed at

Officials from Latin American and Caribbean central banks and from national institutes of statistics of the region, who are responsible for conducting national account surveys or that participate directly in their design, implementation, processing and analysis; as well as those who work with administrative records as a source of data for national accounts; and those who participate in the analysis and monitoring of economic activity.
