    The seminar will include presentations by specialists from the Deutsche Bundesbank and academics, and its content will be centered on collection, analysis and use of big data, data governance and management, case studies from central banks, and data protection issues. There will also be presentations from some Latin American central banks and the Bank of Spain. Big data refers to the capture, storage, management and analysis of large amounts of data, both structured and unstructured, as well as unconventional information, which can consist of a large variety of data sources and types (e.g. demographic, social or financial).
  • Objective:
    Discuss the strategies in developing the collection and analysis of big data and exchange knowledge on this topic.
    Central bank officials, supervisors and academics in charge of the collection and analysis of big data.
    English with simultaneous translation to Spanish.
