OBJECTIVE:
To analyze relevant aspects of international reserve management, emphasizing the challenges posed by the current financial crisis particularly related with the low-return, the guaranties for invested reserves in a higher risk environment; as well as t he new outlook for asset managers and the impact of the new regulations and the changing structure in capital markets.

METHODOLOGY OF THE MEETING:
The meeting will be organized in plenary morning and afternoon working sessions aimed at the discussion of the papers drafted by the participants, and the presentations delivered by the guest speakers.

Guaranties for invested reserves in a higher risk environment (TLGP, Temporary Liquidity Guarantee Program).
The new Outlook for asset managers in a financial crisis framework.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION:
Names of the participants should be provided to CEMLA and to the Centrale Bank Van Aruba by 17th April at the latest, by the annex registration form.
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION OF PAPERS:
Participants wishing to present a specific topic from the agenda are kindly asked to contact the Technical Coordinator. The name(s) of the participant(s) and the title of their presentation/subject mater should be informed to CEMLA and the Bank of the Republic by April 17th at the latest. (Registration Form)
DEADLINE FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PAPERS:
Papers must be delivered to the host and to CEMLA before May 15th, 2009. The text must be 25 pages long (maximum), double spaced, preferably written in English and Spanish, and formatted in WORD and/or POWER POINT for Windows. When sending this information, please notify the host of any specifications on the visual equipment and the time needed to make the presentation.
